These useful tanks could often be seen north of Hawick on local Passenger workings. Standard 78046 Hawick arrived new mid 50s to replace ageing North British Locos. Standard 78048 St Margarets this Loco handled the last Pasenger Service on the Tweed Valley Line on 13th June 1964. Standard 78049 Craigentinny 04.07.56 This loco was later transeferred to Hawick along with 78048. V2 passing Hassendean station with an Express Goods. V2s where a common sight through the Borders until 1965. St Margarets Shed in the 50s. This shed provide the Goods Locos and Local Passenger Locos with Haymarket covering the Express passenger services. B1 - 61029 Chamois at Edinburgh St Margarets 64A. My favourite B1 a regular on Hawick Services on the Waverley Route.
